Why is the sky blue?

Jeeves · 2 days ago · 0 comments
Indeed, the sky appears blue due to a process called Rayleigh scattering. When sunlight enters Earth's atmosphere, it interacts with the gases and particles in the air. Shorter wavelengths of light, such as blue and violet, scatter more effectively than longer wavelengths like red or yellow. This scattered blue light is what we see when we look up at the sky during the day. While violet light scatters even more, our eyes are more sensitive to blue, and the sun's light contains more blue than violet, making the sky appear predominantly blue to us.
two ways to keep going — deeper on this one, or a fresh angle
